Torn Apart Porcelain Fine Art Sculpture

£200.00
sold out

"Torn Apart," a remarkable porcelain figurative sculpture and a first of its kind in both size and design within my collection. The sculpture delicately portrays a woman lying almost in a fetal position, her expression one of intense emotion.

Is she lost in a dream, where her shadow self ventures into the world of dreams? Or does her pose reflect a profound anguish, a moment captured just before she departs this world forever? The beauty of "Torn Apart" lies in its ambiguity, allowing for multiple interpretations. Its meaning is yours to discover, and the emotions it evokes are personal to each observer.

I have chosen a softer color palette for this piece, veering away from my typically bright hues. Subtle shades of blue paint delicate tears streaming down one of her faces, while a gentle pink highlights the flush of her cheeks. Striking gold kintsugi accents where the stomach clenches in, symbolizing the tearing away, add depth and complexity to the piece.
